Mommy Brain!

No, I didn't leave the world of blogging but I do think my brain is leaving me. It started during my pregnancy. (We've all heard about pregnancy brain.) But I really thought it would get better but apparently it isn't. For one, I have on more than one occasion put the salad in the freezer and the ice cream in the fridge. Both items don't tolerate a change of temperature very well. Secondly I have trouble remembering what month we are in. The other day as I stood looking at my nicely labeled bins of decorations I had to really think hard, "Do I take out the Easter decorations or the Christmas decorations?" Luckily the brain finally kicked in and the spiders, pumpkins and bats are nicely displayed! Now I could provide further evidence to support what I call my mommy brain but I think you get the ideal or you may even had the pleasure of witnessing a mommy brain moment or having your very own. If so, please tell!

Joanne

PS - Sorry, no pictures this time as the blog system is having some technical difficulties in that dept.

Hey Jo,
I can totally relate! I think it's due in part to exhaustion. I was the laughing-stock of my co-workers the last couple months before mat-leave. I would forget special events going on at school, forget what I was supposed to be teaching, couldn't remember some students names, etc. It was really quite embarassing.

Oh Jo . . . I'm so glad I'm not alone!! I'm too embarassed to share my many, many stories . . . but let's just say my syndrome is called 'mommy with toddler brain'. There's been many a time when Kale ends up telling me what we are supposed to be doing. Good thing I have him around! I attribute him for my 'mommy with toddler brain', but in reality, I would be walking in circles without him!

Keep on the flight side, I mean light side . . .

Love Regan

Oh, I had to laugh... it's so true! Yesterday I told Valentin that our answering machine was broken while pressing on all the buttons and trying to make it work. I had just forgotten to turn the volume on... that's my last one ;)
Does it ever come back??? Scary...
OK, look forward to seeing more pics! In the meantime take care,

Joanne and all the girls who've replied, I am laughing so much...we are all of the same mold or what... Yesterday, I visited 3 women: a 97 yrs old, a 93 and a 77 yrs old with alzheimer. We were all at about the same speed...slow. Very funny and sad all at once. Let's continue to amuse ourselves at being absent minded. Love Nicole....sure am anxious for some pics...and Jo while Michael is away...where is he going????? could you and those little boys come visit the us here in Calgary? Sure would be fun. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. Matante Nicole
